I believe every meeting should have 1 rule. You can not say NO or CAN’T. So often I sit in meetings and wonder why the culture of can’t has not been replaced with can. Can is about opportunity. Can is about solutions. Can makes a way. Can’t is an excuse and lives in the vocabulary of those who do not want to change, grow, or adapt.
All Things Are Possible.

I had several people comment on a Twitter I posted yesterday that said: “Faith is the replacement of fear with the promise of hope.”
Hope is an awesome thing. It is hope that creates opportunity. Hope really is the feeling that what you want can be achieved. Hope believes that things are going to turn out for the best. We are in a time in history where Hope is a commodity, not just an idea. People are trying to find hope. People are living on hope. People need hope. Hope makes us believe that anything is possible.
As kids we are full of hope. But then we grow and get cynical. I think this is one of the reasons God loves when we remain child like. I want the same kind of hope that my kids have.
I love this verse in Colossians (chap 1:5) that says: “The lines of purpose in your lives never grow slack, tightly tied as they are to your future in heaven, kept taut by HOPE.”
Hope is audacious. Hope is a light in the dark. Hope is big.
Not trying to be preachy, but give hope a chance.

I try to not copy to many posts. But this one from BEN ARMENT was so good, or at least so good to me, I had to post it.

Pride is a funny thing. Very few people think they are proud. Pride is probably the chief sin. I believe sins are created equal, much like grace, but pride seems to be a root for a lot of the wrongs we commit. Pride could be feeling entitlement, it could be taking ownership in something that you never owned in the first place (this is common in ministry), pride is sneaky. You never beat it. You might make it submit, but it is always lurking. Regardless of stature or position, it wants to distract you and force you into believing in yourself more than you are trusting in Him. Pride has friends too, arrogance, selfishness, and carelessness. Not really sure why I am posting on this today. I am in a constant struggle to stay in a place of humility and a broken posture. I fail way more than I succeed at it, but that is part of the journey. Develop a filter for your words and actions, they will tell on you and where your heart REALLY is….

I am a planner. I plan stuff out. I like strategy. I am a creative planner, so it may not look like a plan to you, but to me, it has been thought through to the fullest.
This blog is my attempt to not plan. But rather, to “freestyle post”. Now is probably not the best time to freestyle post as right now I am getting mad hits from Tony Morgans Post about one of my blogs. Oh well, its what I gotta do. I wish I could have gone with Pete to the DR, the trip looks like it has been amazing.
Speaking of Amazing, Stephen Hurd has a song called Amazing on his new album. I will post it. It is about how Amazing God is…I love that He is Amazing. Due to Him being amazing, He can help clean up the messes my less than amazing life creates.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is on, and Zay wants me to watch….Gotta be a daddy. Thanks for putting up with my freestyle experiment. Hope it did not bore you. More real stuff tomorrow. As always, thanks for investing the time.

Lincoln Brewster has created an amazing record. Today Is The Day is FLYING up the charts. It has been the most added song at AC christian radio each week for the past 3 weeks. I love it when there is time created to build the story, move people, and get momentum headed in the right direction. Our goal is to have a top 5 single before the album hits stores. Here is a little sneak peak of our next single, God You Reign. I think this could end up being a career song for Lincoln. This will be a song churches sing all over the world in their times of worship.

I am by NO means a church expert, however, I have been in and around church for a LONG time. I know some things that work, some that do not work, and I love to study all of it, maybe to a fault. I told a pastor friend about how I was at his church, for like the 3rd or 4th time, and this lady came up and asked Jackie and I if we were new. Jackie said, no we have been here for a few weeks. The lady then replied, “Well, people usually leave after 6 weeks.” WOW. With evangelists like this in your “family” who needs enemies. Train your greeters on how to communicate with your visitors. Script them a few talking points even. Put people in place that have the “greeter” personality. Now, I know this staff, they would FREAK if they knew who this lady was…I could not tell them if I had to. There are times things will slip by the goalie, but set yourself up to win. Make sure your greeters are trained, educated, and alert.

How big is Batman? You think no one cares about Batman?
Midnight Showings: 18.4 million (Star Wars did 16.9)
Biggest Grossing Day: 66.4 million (Spider Man 3 59. ![]()
Tomorrow we will get some weekend numbers (night) but it is going to be the biggest opening weekend in movie history.
Culture cares about Batman. How can you leverage this? Here are a couple of ideas for my pastor peeps. (probably is to late to do a Batman series as you should be starting it Tomorrow or next week at the latest)
“Why So Serious” (how you deal with stress, biblically…)
“Battle of the Dark Knight” (Dark vs Light, Even great people deal with a dark side {story of grace}, Even the right sometimes look wrong…)
I have not spent much time on this, but just some quick thoughts.

Today I did some yard work, and hung some stuff up around the house for Jack. Let me assure you, it was a comedy of errors. It took me like 3 hours to get the yard in shape. Seriously, a job a normal man could do in probably an hour 15 tops. (but i can shop a hole in that normal man)
So as I was sweating, getting mad, frustrating myself, I realized the importance of working in your core area. Sure, I CAN do the yard, and at times I enjoy it, but it is not my core. It is not what I was created to do every day. There are people so good at that stuff they can make the yard look like a golf course. mine, more like a hilly mess.
What are you doing every day at your job, mission, calling, life, that you should pass off and not be doing? Do you need to delegate something? What is taking more of your time than it should and what are you neglecting because your not willing to let someone else run with something they are GREAT at doing? The best leaders surround themselves with people that are way better than themselves and then train those people to replace them. I hope I am doing this….are you?
Batman was crazy nuts. Props to jack for hitting the 10:10 show and not getting home till after 1. WELL WORTH IT. Why so serious?
